Hicham Ghandour, born in Beirut in 1958, Hicham Ghandour’s journey bridges the elegance of Europe, the vibrance of New York, and the heritage of Lebanon. After spending 33 years in New York City, he returned home in 2011, where he continues to live and create today.
Trained at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in furniture restoration, and later at the prestigious Palazzo Spinelli in Florence specializing in gilding restoration, Ghandour built a career rooted in craftsmanship and artistry. His expertise led him to remarkable opportunities—working at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York within the gilding conservation department, and collaborating with Ralph Lauren Home on prototype gilded furniture.
Since 2016, Ghandour has been crafting exclusive, one-of-a-kind designs for Nilufar Gallery in Milan, positioning his work at the intersection of timeless tradition and contemporary design.
